SITE SECURITY FENCING
At Phipps, we specialise in providing and installing (and managing) site security fencing. No two sites are identical, so our fencing is installed according to to the unique needs of your project site.
Whether you need site security fencing on a temporary or permanent basis, we will ensure your site is securely protected against unauthorised access.
Site Security Fencing - Protection
Building sites can be dangerous places. Our site security fencing creates a safe place for your workforce, as well as keeping the public away from potential danger, valuable plant and equipment.
Site security fencing is also effective for protecting the natural elements of any building site, such as trees and wildlife, including badger setts.
Phipps’ Sustainable Services for Site Security
After working on countless sites and projects, we have identified the best methods for site security:
Heras Panels on Rubber Feet
Heras panels are constructed using lightweight, but very durable galvanised mesh panels. Heras panels on feet are a temporary method of security fencing, used to section off an area, allowing work to continue without limiting or restricting site work. Heras fence provides temporary protection for sites on smaller projects or when the potential damage is minimal.
Heras Panels on Timber Posts
Timber posts are usually used as a more long-term solution around a site boundary to set the boundary for working at the same time as creating a more secure site for working in a tree protection area. The timber posts are driven into the ground with a machine and are set in the ground without the use of concrete. Avoiding the use of concrete means there is less impact on the ground and soil conditions.
Scaffolding Tubes and Heras Panels
Scaffold tubes and Heras panels are used mainly in tree protection areas to protect the trees and other plant life, like bushes, or wildlife areas as noted by the council or an Arboricultural report.
Palisade Fencing
Palisade fencing is one of the most durable and robust site security methods, as it’s made from high-quality steel and requires minimal maintenance and is a good longer-term solution for site protection.
Timber Hoarding
Timber hoarding can be used to the front of site as a solid barrier and constructed from C16 or C24 posts and OSB Board with a capping border. Hoarding can also be painted to the main contractor's colour or with advertisement for the new development.
Site Protection Process
Our site security fencing process starts with a site visit to determine the exact nature of the potential threats a construction site could face. This allows us to recommend the best possible security method, based on the type and magnitude of any threat. Then, we lay all the groundwork for more advanced methods of protection such as Heras panels, palisade fencing or hoarding, and lastly, we set up all the required fences and carry out the install works and check to ensure that everything is working seamlessly and nothing is harmed due to construction.
