Mediterranean Makeover: From Spain to Essex

In Chelmsford, Essex, our team brought a piece of the Mediterranean to the heart of England. Using designs inspired by southern Spain, we transformed a simple lawn with a small patio into a large, Mediterranean-esque garden. The goal was to integrate the look of southern Spain with its beautiful olive trees to create a landscape that flows and blends into the house's aesthetics.

To accomplish this landscaping feat, our team used different materials for the hard landscaping, such as reclaimed bricks and tiles, sandstone, and Cotswold chippings. For the soft landscaping, we used five stunning mature and semi-mature fig trees and twenty-four Mediterranean-inspired olive trees, one of which is over 150 years old.

Our biggest challenge for this project was bringing the beauty and ambition of the design to life. To do that, we had to showcase our adaptability to create more flow and open up the tight, claustrophobic spaces into a beautiful, lush garden. The result became not two or three, but five different styles seamlessly blended together.

Ultimately, our clients were very happy with the final result and commended us for achieving the exact look and atmosphere they initially desired.
